There are endless winding lanes to walk or bicycle along aswell as off road hill walking and Golspie Wildcat mountain Bike Trails are just a short 7 mile drive away.

Helmsdale Village is just 10 miles north of Brora and famous for its Salmon Fishing.
Further afield you can visit John O Groats the most northerly point in the United Kingdom, a good 1.5 hours scenic drive will get you there. You can visit the Orkney Islands by taking the ferry from Scrabster(2 hours away).
Inverness and its shops,castle and tourist attractions is just 1 hour drive, and you can join a tour to Loch Ness From there.
